Hack A Meal

2/365

Recently San Francisco banned or attempted to ban toys in kids fast food meals.  As a believer in personal responsibility I think this pretty silly, but if the meal isn't good for kids then what about the toy.  Would  toys that created opportunities for kids to learn be worth allowing them to consume some unbelievably tasty yet calorie packed nuggets made from a chicken like substance?  Since I have two kids, I have some happy meal toys laying around the house and many have a little slice of electronics inside.  More than once I have taken an old screwdriver to the bench grinder and shaped the tip so I could open these evil treats that  they use to lure the young.  I would love to see one of these chains or even some hip, yet taste deprived vegan burger joint offer the Hack-a-Meal toy set.
Like most good happy meal toys this will be a series to collect just as the characters in Narnia.  Starting with a screwdriver with that goofy triangle shape so you can open them without a hammer.  Of course you need a cutter that also strips and crimps, a jumper board that fits in an Altoids tin, some extra parts like a speaker, led, crimpable sleeve, and a switch. Finally a little box that holds batteries linking them together with a couple a leads coming off of it.  The best part would be the blog they could host were people upload photos of things they build entirely out of toy parts.
