After one dies their organs and limbs become perishable commodities. Why can't you decide when your alive that you wish to auction off your remnants after your death?? Let's make an ebay for body parts. Highest bidder get the organ or limb. This seems a bit out of the box but I think in this economy a lot of people would go for it.

Where do we stop? When someone can willingly sell their body parts after their death and leave the cashola to their relatives. It get's complicated when people will be forced to auction off their body parts against their will to pay of debt. You know credit card companies would have a field day with this.

Complications? It's illegal now. While you can donate organs, right now, in the US it is illegal to sell your body parts after you die. But, while you're alive you can sell plasma and donate part of your kidney to someone with out

Why isn't this a viable market? I guess it's because of ethics or something.

Who owns the body of a deceased person, anyway?
