Double Pane Car Windows

053/365

It only seems logical to equip high-end vehicles with double pane glass windows to keep the cold out/in. Although, now that I think about it, it may not work because the outer glass may stay cold enough to freeze therefor creating a problem while driving. I'll put some more thought into this idea.

Jersey Barrier = Ad Space

040/365

While driving around for the holidays I noticed a lot of potential advertising space that isn't being used. On the Pennsylvania Turnpike there is miles and miles of Jersey Barriers that splits the opposing traffic. This seems like a great place to place some advertisements. Maybe for an attraction at the next exit, a Gieco image (see picture) or something else entirely. I see the Jersey barrier turning into the walls and boards at sporting events.

The ads would have to be designed in a way that it could be read normally while traveling at a high rate of speed and simple as to not distract the drive but to subliminally influence them. They would have to be stretched creating what looks like a normal image or short words (if any at all).

You could argue that this is dangerous because drivers will be looking at the image and not the road. But there are already billboards everywhere so I kindly disagree.

Auto Txt Reply

037/365

This idea was inspired by the growing number of car accidents caused by txting while driving.

The app works in conjunction with any message receiving app to decrease the amount of time a user spends looking at their device. When a message is received the app determines the rate of travel for the device then automatically responds with a previously composed message. The message can be altered and the app can be turned on/off.

Auto-dimming Window Tint

009/365

This product is for those states where it's illegal to apply window tint to any vehicle. The reason for the regulation is for officer safety during traffic stops. With a flick of a button window tint can be turned on/off. This technology has already be developed for home windows where a current is push through the window to change the chemical properties inside the glass. Another technology that could be utilized is the auto-tinting eyeglasses which adjust to sunlight. Either item would be rather expensive but I believe there is a niche luxury/tuner market that would pay high dollar for this product.
