Virtual SSH Editing

Hey Cydia developers, can you make an app that allows you to invite another person access to the SSH on your own device from their device?  I like using cydia apps but sometimes I don't feel confident when messing with things on the development level. And I'm not always near someone who is confident doing it so they either have to walk me through it or i have to delve into it by myself.

Web Apps, Where's the Beef?

I have recently converted to using solely web apps on both my MacBook Pro and my iPhone but I have two gripes:

1. The Mac OS does not allow placement of web apps on the dock.

• How hard would it be to add this feature to the OS? I mean Apple already uses this technology in the iPhone. Seems a bit fishy. Is this another attempt by Apple to stifle innovation for control? Maybe when the allure of the iPad wears off they'll add this feature to their other products.

2. Notifications are not integrated on the iPhone OS.

• For example, I no longer use iOS Mail instead I use the Gmail web app but the Gmail web app does not alert me when I have a new email. Without that feature it makes that web app kind of pointless. Example two, same thing goes for google voicemail web app. The only way I know that I receive a VM is when I get an email with the VM in it. Now, I don't need the web app at all.

Now, I don't know a lot about development but these two things seem to be overlooked in the Web 2.0 conversion. I bet a dev could write an app that allows for web apps to be integrated into a Mac's desktop Dock and write a preifirial app that notifies you when one of your web apps is updated on an iPhone. Where is that dev?

I've noticed a lot of primetime cable shows have, what i refer to as a splash lead/follow, before and after commercial breaks. For instance CBS's NCIS has a short photo montage of the ensuing action and FX's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia has an unmistakable bright yellow title screen. I believe editors have invented these devices for those viewers who watch the show after it's been recorded as to notify during fast forwarding through the commercials. This short clip gives the viewer enough time to realize the ads are over and to hit play on the remote. This is a great idea but I'd like to take it a step further.

This could be automated alleviating the user interaction all together. Since these splash leads/follows for are distinguishable between different shows software could be developed that recognizes the splash follow then initiates a fast forward to the next splash lead. A user would simply flash their cable box with altered firmware and commercials are automatically skipped when watching a recorded show.

Cable companies, advertisers and just about everyone (except the viewers) would be opposed to this feature and legal action would undoubtedly be taken against the developers.

Can someone make an iPhone app for Autotrader.com already!?

The web-based app works okay but it's clumsy and modifying a search is difficult. I'm sure in-app advertisements along with the preferred search results would quickly justify the cost of development.

Also, craigslist should give users the ability to perform multiple region searches. It's ludicrous to make a user go to a different site (owned by a different company) to find desired results from your own database! Take a lesson from the "new" twitter, they implemented search into twitter.com instead of forcing users to navigate to search.twitter.com. You won't listen though. I know you.
